Bloom Into You ( the anime) aired from October 5th through December 28th, 2018. It has 13 episodes of 24 minutes each and it covers the first 24 chapters of the manga ( which has a total of 53 chapters).
The story is about Yuu, a girl who does not understand love, and Touko, who struggles to be herself. When Touko confesses right after helping Yuu turn down another confession, will the two get closer to understanding themselves and each other?
The leads are both quite stubborn, but because of that they encourage each other to look more deeply into the situations and experiences. Even though both leads are not super open about their struggles, the side characters still provide meaningful value to the development of the story.
The anime really takes its time for each scene, which really helps to maintain the same overall feeling the manga has. The colour palette and music seem to really bring a focus on the emotions the lead girls are experiencing.
